We have been given the privilege and responsibility of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our fellow Hmong people throughout Southeast Asia. We will continue to do so as commanded by the scriptures and as the Holy Spirit leads. To God be all the glory.

Reverend Doctor Naw-Karl Mua
Reverend Doctor Naw-Karl Mua was born in 1959 in (Moosmauj) Xiengkhouang, Laos. In 1975, the country of Laos underwent an overturn of government and Mua spent a year hiding in the jungles before proceeding to Thailand. In 1978 Dr. Mua departed for France where he met his wife, Sue Xiong. They later married in 1983 and in 1985 Dr. Mua and his wife made their way to the United States where it is now their permanent residence. Dr. Mua is the father of 3 sons and 1 daughter: Somboune, Krishna, Tsuyoshi and Magnolia respectively.
Dr. Mua received his Doctor of Ministry in 1999 and Master of Arts in Theological Studies in 1994 both from Bethel Seminary, Master of Theology in 1996 from Luther Seminary, and Bachelor of Science in 1989 from American National University. Dr. Mua pastored in many denominations including Baptist, Alliance, Lutheran, (Hmong) Salvation and Christ Gospel before the establishment of his own independent pentecostal church in 2010: Calvary’s Cross Church (CCC).
Dr. Mua has written and published over 30 short books within Calvary’s Cross Church and in 2017 completed the first edition of Vajluskueb Dawbhuv Doctor Mua Version, the Hmong translation of the King James Version Bible. Through Dr. Mua’s vision, Calvary’s Cross Church has established ministries in multiple states and outside the states including Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. Dr. Mua continues to pastor at Calvary’s Cross Church in St. Paul, Minnesota to this day.
